Wakefield’s Festival of Food, Drink and Rhubarb is one of the first major events in the UK’s ‘foodie’ calendar and we are proud to celebrate Wakefield’s traditional links with rhubarb growing.

Wakefield is celebrating its most famous and unique pink vegetable this February!

From Friday 23rd – Sunday 25th February 2018, Wakefield will turn pink in celebration of its famous rhubarb heritage during a three day festival offering lots of fun for the whole family.

This year expect to see great tasting food and drink, colourful stalls selling delicious Yorkshire produce, fun activities for young children and families, lively street enterainment and live cookery demonstrations, featuring some of the most talented chefs working in the country today.

When you arrive in the city during the festival weekend, pop into the Visitor Information Point inside Wakefield Cathedral or the Customer Information Desk inside the Ridings Shopping Centre to pick up a festival brochure.

Also do not forget to take home some low fat Buffalo burgers and sausages
